Spring has arrived, the weather is warming up and suddenly the truck show calendar is getting busy!
There might not be too many big name truck shows on the list this weekend, but for punch you can't look past the Supertrucks Round 2 at Morgan Park for a bit of heavy weight fun and truck culture.
And there are plenty of others to choose from this weekend, and good ones too, especially if you're into old machinery.
NSW is punching well above its weight with the National Tractor Show at Gulgong, the Rusty Iron Rally at Macksville and the Spring Fun Weekend at Corowa.
There’s also the Shine for Mental Health event at the Aubigny Pub — one we’re particularly happy to support, even though we can't be there.
Victoria has the Annual Vintage Machinery Rally at Bellarine, while Sunnydale is also holding its Vintage Day and Truck Show.
Back in Queensland, you’ve got the Old Machinery Expo at Oakey and the Father’s Day Car, Bike & Truck Show and Rusty Iron at Springfield.
And of course, we’ll be at the Cooyar Rodeo at our local pub — an absolute ripper of a little rodeo and one we’re always happy to support.

And a little reminder now that we’re heading into warmer weather: take the water bottle, chuck the hat in the ute and put some sunscreen on. It might still feel like winter in the mornings, but spring has definitely arrived!
So get out there, support the little shows, spend a few dollars in a country town and have a look at what your fellow enthusiasts have been building, restoring and keeping alive.
The big shows are great. But sometimes the little ones are where the good stuff happens.
