A good weekend to take advantage of the Spring weather and get out and see some trucks. I really like the initiative of South Australia in bringing trucks to the kids during school holidays. This week we have Touch a Truck happening at Marion on Thursday the 2nd.
Also on, a big one for Queensland with the Lights on the Hill taking place at Gatton, where convoys from both Toowoomba and Brisbane will merge for the annual memorial and celebration of life of deceased drivers.
Wherever you see trucks this weekend, don't forget the sunscreen, a hat and a water bottle. With the weather warming up, these are essentials. And if you're driving, we're thinking of you and you are what it's all about.

TOUCH A TRUCK - Marion SA (Thursday)
Take the kids down and let them get hands on with trucks, diggers, police cars etc

LIGHTS ON THE HILL - Gatton (Saturday & Sunday)
We've been waiting for this and we know it wont disappoint. The convoy takes place on Saturday and the memorial service on Sunday, including inscriptions added to the wall at Lake Apex.

Bring the family out to this one, as well as new and old trucks, tractors cars & machinery, there will also be draught horse displays, tractor treks, and chainsaw events.

TRUCK WORLD GRAND OPENING - Lichfield NZ (Saturday)
This is an exciting addition to the NZ Timber museum and an opportunity to show the kids some cool trucks over the holidays.
- 10am to 3pm
- Entry includes 50% off museum and Train World admission
- Exhibits include WWII GMC and other ex military vehicles
- Win a $50 cafe voucher
- NZ famous truck - The Concorde - will be there for the opening
