A big weekend for truck shows and a number of big weekends ahead over the next couple of months.
This weekend we have the second annual Wondai Truck Show. Last year was a fantastic inaugural effort and this year promises to be even bigger. Don't miss it if you're in the area - we wont!
Also commencing this weekend is the start of the 9 day NHMA National Rally at Kingsthorpe (new location, having moved from the old Jondaryan site). A theme of steam engines, the old bangers are already starting to roll into town and they are impressive. Desert Dog will be at the rally for the final 4 days, Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st.
The classic Trangie Truck & Tractor show, in it's 23rd year is on and New Zealand have their Big Rigs for Kids happening in Christchurch.
This weeks cover photo was taken by Desert Dog at the Kilcoy Truck Show in 2023. We featured anywhere towing a month or so again at Matty Hillcoats 2024. They always present immaculately at a show and on the road.
WONDAI TRUCK SHOW (Sat)
We're really looking forward to this one. Last year was great and this year will be better. Set in the midst of the annual Wondai Ag Show, plenty to do for the whole family.

There are so many events attached to this one that you'll really need to check out the website - lots of brochures on there but I can't download them. just a hint - if you buy tickets online, they're $5 cheaper . Prices below are for online tickets. A few attractions are:

STEAMING UNDER THE SOUTHERN CROSS
9 days packed with steam engines, trucks, tractors, machinery and fun. Something for everyone here and you might want to spend a couple of days - it will be huge with exhibitors and spectators coming from all over Australia for this 19th biennial event. Just some of what you can expect here:

TRUCK IT - BIG RIGS FOR KIDS - CHRISTCHURCH NZ (Sun 24th)
A charitable day, raising funds and giving fun to kids with special needs. Lots of fun on the days for kids including:

- Fun, food and community spirit
- Convoy through town
- Auction
