Truck Shows This Weekend - April 12th - 13th

A quieter weekend this weekend but the big one is Haulin' the Hume. We can't wait to see the photos come through for this one. The reopening of the QLD Transport Museum goes off with a big bang this weekend with free entry to their new Military Vehicle Display. A couple of hard hitting war veterans in this one.

HAULIN' THE HUME - SYDNEY TO GUNDAGAI (Saturday & Sunday)

The famous biennial road run from Sydney to Gundagai takes place this weekend. Grab a vantage point along the Old Hume highway to see these beauties roll through.

  • Leaves from Luddenham Showgrounds
  • Route takes in the Razorback, Hole in the Wall at Picton
  • Stopping for lunch and a short display at Goulburn
  • Continue on through Gasoline Alley in Yass 
  • Gundagai for dinner and overnight
  • Sunday morning breakfast

QLD TRANSPORT MUSEUM OPEN DAY - GATTON (Sunday)

The Queensland Transport Museum is reopening after a maintenance closure. Featuring a display of military vehicles, this is a must see if you're in the area.

  • Original military vehicles dating back to WW1
  • Rugged army trucks including a 1941 GMC prime mover - the truck that won the war
  • 1969 Diamond Rio prime mover, first one (and the only manual) brought to Australia
  • Free entry
  • 10am to 2pm
  • Guided tours
  • Family friendly 
  • Entertainment & kids activities
